Abilene Museums
This museum serves as a dedication to the 12th Armored Division that served in the second world war. Its goal is to be a teaching museum preserving the memory of the division and educating children through the use of historical artifacts. The museum also studies the affect of the war on American civilization.
The Grace Museum is composed of three different museums in the historic Grace Hotel in Abilene. These are the Art Museum, the History Museum and the Children's Museum.
The middle of an attack by Indians, a card game shoot-out or a buffalo stampede, Frontier Texas recreates historic Texas for visitors to relive. The 14,000 square-foot facility on 6.4 acres in downtown Abilene uses technology to entertain and educate guests about the elaborate history of the Texas region.
